I’m from Boston so I can sympathize, because up until five years ago, my own city was starved for a championship.
But Philadelphia hasn’t seen any type of sports championship since Reagan’s first term. (Sixers in ’83)

The Eagles lost three consecutive conf. championships before finally making it to the Super Bowl in ’05, where they lost a close one to the Patriots (a game the Eagles clearly should have won).
The Sixers lost in 5 games to the Lakers in the ’01 Finals.
The Flyers have won the Atlantic division title every other year dating back to 1995, yet they always seem to bow out of the playoffs in the first-round and cant forget they got swept by detroit in the 97 Stanley Cup Finals
As for the Phillies: only one Series title in their history (when Jimmy Carter was still president). And nothing hurts more than losing the (’93) World Series on a walk-off home run.Thoughts ?
