I really feel sorry for this individual and our society. People like the individual that administrates this site are fueling the fires of hatred. This is merely a sport people. With the current affairs and uncertainty of our economy why is hatred being bred? This is an AMERICAN pastime that has endured many wars and kept our nation strong. Regardless of who is playing in the World Series I always watch it even if my team is not playing. I have a sincere love for the game and I am also a fan of BASEBALL. As Americans, we should not fight within ourselves over such trivial things as sports when young men and women are in hostile territory fighting for our right to live as we do. Bashing one team into oblivion does nothing other than prove to the rest of the world we Americans are reverting back to being neanderthals. And we wonder why the rest of the world absolutely despises the US? Maybe it’s because we’ve become an overbearingly pompous society so much so that we don’t even care about our own people. We need unity at this point of our existence not separation. I hope our civilization as we know it can grasp these concepts and realize we are nothing without one another. I’m glad the Phillies won because they represent the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were our nation was founded in case you’ve forgotten that. Aside from that they were the better team. If the hatred for the city of Philadelphia is so deeply rooted you may consider counseling.(if your not too macho) In parting, I would like to send my congratulations to the Phillies organization and to all the loyal fans who never gave up. I SALUTE YOU! By the way, if you’ve never been to Philly you really don’t have room to talk because your going on hear say.
