    I think any fan of baseball would like Chase Utley. He may eventually be known as the best second baseman to ever play the game years from now. He’s a long ways away from that but he is that good. Not to mention he is an extremely humble guy who just plays the game right. Aside from the “WFC” thing (which people seem to get their panties in a bunch over), you never hear anything from the guy.

    Let me add (because I know that someone is going to come here and start popping off at the mouth) that I am in no way, shape, or form implying that Chase Utley is better than Rogers Hornby (or any other great second baseman). It’s rather difficult to compare a guy who played in a league where he faced 7 teams to a guy who plays in a league where he faces more than double that.

    So a more generalized statement of “Chase Utley has the potential to be one of the greatest second baseman to ever play the game” should keep those who believe they have superior sports knowledge at bay.
