If there is one thing that annoys me the most about this fanbase, it’s this mentality. People who cry for Reid and McNabb to be gone seem to forget how bad this team was before them. I will support McNabb and Reid because of what they did for this team. God forbid the Eagles have a losing season. NEWSFLASH: The NFL is competitive. You can’t win your division every single year.

And as far as not winning that elusive Super Bowl yet, I am dissappointed too. However, Pittsburgh fans (for the most part) loved Bill Cowher during his entire tenure and you know what? It took him 14 YEARS to win his Super Bowl title. Be careful what you wish for Philly fans because you might see 2-14 again real soon. Remember that? These are the people who hold Buddy Ryan in high regard. Buddy who??!! Did we even win a playoff game under him.

Sometimes I think about considering another team but it’s not the players or the team that is the embarrassing part. They lose, so what? It’s always fun when your team wins but that’s not why you are a fan. You are a fan because you enjoy rooting for the team. The winning is the payoff that doesn’t always come.

No, it’s the fans who are embarrassing. I just find it harder and harder to defend these people sometimes (the fans). Sure, I can always say “other fanbases have these idiots” but Philly seems to have the most. I have actually heard “fans” use racist remarks when McNabb misses a receiver. What kind of scumbag does something like that? Then the “lets cut the entire team and coaching staff” thing. Three weeks later these idiots are trash talking and saying how they are the 2008 version of the 2007 New York Giants. I’m annoyed.

as soon as they get a decent player, they lose their minds. life is good for their team, and everybody else’s team sucks. they go out of their way to seek validation from fans of their rivals, as if those fans care.

then, as soon as the new guy starts to stumble, or the team as a whole doesn’t keep improving, they throw ‘mr. savior’ under the bus.

Minnesota and then a division rival? I think the Eagles have a realistic chance to at least win a round or two. Don’t know why you wouldn’t think the Eagles would be a viable threat. Top defense, potentially dangerous offense. You hate the team but I’m sure as a fan of football you can agree that the Eagles can be dangerous in the playoffs.

Well, I don’t hate the team. I hate the fans. All shit-talking aside, any team can be dangerous in the playoffs. The Eagles do have a solid defense. But, two keys elements hurt them. The play calling & offensive inconsistency. If (and it’s a big if) they bring their A game, they can be a viable threat.

But, judging by the way they played in the regular season, there’s simply not enough cohesion between the o-line, receivers, backs & McNabb to warrant a serious consideration.
