true Philadelphia probably has the most disappointing sports teams of any other city with 4 major sports teams

I’m from Boston so I can sympathize, because up until five years ago, my own city was starved for a championship.

But Philadelphia hasn’t seen any type of sports championship since Reagan’s first term. (Sixers in ’83)

but damn why cant they win just 1 lets recap

The Eagles lost three consecutive conf. championships before finally making it to the Super Bowl in ’05, where they lost a close one to the Patriots (a game the Eagles clearly should have won).

The Sixers lost in 5 games to the Lakers in the ’01 Finals.
The Flyers have won the Atlantic division title every other year dating back to 1995, yet they always seem to bow out of the playoffs in the first-round and cant forget they got swept by detroit in the 97 Stanley Cup Finals
As for the Phillies: only one Series title in their history (when Jimmy Carter was still president). And nothing hurts more than losing the (’93) World Series on a walk-off home run.

    I beg to differ. The game was evenly matched. It was down to whomever made less mistakes, would win.

    No they haven’t. Between 2000-2004 it was every other year. Since 1995, the Flyers have won the division 5 times. It’s not quite as impressive when stated accurately (I like your 8% skew). I also like how you conveniently left out the ’06-’07 season when they finished dead last in the NHL with 56 points.

    Well, there’s a whole bunch of reasons. Not enough Chunky soup, the sun is too bright, Mcnabb threw up on the playbook, Jupitor was spinning too fast, the refs were paid off by Tony Soprano. It’s an exhausting list of excuses. Just go ask a Philly fan why their teams can’t win.
