Eagles, yet miraculously resurrect in the second half? THat’s just “dumb luck” for Eagles whether ya like ‘em or not.

    Listen, I know the Pats got caught videotaping defensive signals. There’s no doubt in that.

    But, if you read Jimmy Johnson’s response, you’d realize the Pats weren’t the only team with their hand in that particular cookie jar. In fact, the Jets were accused of the very same thing a couple months later.

    The Pats just happened to get caught and of course everyone’s going to play the “mightier than thou” card and act surprised (including the Eagles & their drunken asshole fans).

    Spygate or not, I think the Pats were one hell of a team & they would have won SB 39 regardless. I’ve watched teams that look deflated the first half and come out exploding the second half countless times.

    Were they all cheating as well?

    big john….i believe the eagles WERE leading at half time by at least a field goal.

    The Pats pass defense was flat out great that game / season. McNabb got picked 3 times. Not to mention in the AFC Conference game, Manning threw at least 4 picks.

    Cheating is cheating, but there is a difference between cheating and gaining an advantage, like steroids, and cheating and not gaining an in game advantage like spygate. Goodell came out immediately and said the Patriots gained no advantage from it. He may have said that to cover his own ass, and the NFL, but he did say it. More than anything you have to realize the Patriots were dumb enough to get caught, not that they were the only ones cheating.
