what happens if we win a championship? does your ticker start at zero and does your site’s name change to “phillygenerallysucks.com”? also, are you from philadelphia, because to me it makes more sense for someone from this town to make a website about how bad their teams have been year in year out. And the site seems kind of lame if someone from new york or DC made it.
either way, i agree. We’ve made sucking our ethos.

    The Eagles have not won in 48 years. The Sixers have not won in 25 years. The Flyers have not won in 33 years.

    So why exactly would the site stop?

    No, but it would sure as hell help. I just want one. Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, Sixers….doesn’t matter.

    Phillies look like our best shot right now but their starting rotation has 3 solid number five pitchers and one guy who is still having trouble remembering if he was ever any good. Hopefully they get it together, make the playoffs, and then go on a run.

    As if philly is the only town with a poor track record:

    Buffalo: 2 teams, no championships. 0-70 seasons

    Boston: 90+ baseball seasons, two championships, 30+ hockey seasons: no championships, 40+ football seasons: two deserved champions, one undeserved (terrible call when playing Oakland that put NE to the first superbowl since 85, remember that one?)4-180 seasons: not exactly impressive either.

    I could go on with other teams / cities….

    So when philly does win a championship it won’t matter b/c why exactly? I thought this site was about the fact that philly hasn’t won a CHAMPIONSHIP in a long time. DUDE, it will matter b/c that’s the whole reason for the site, right?

    It is. And last I checked, Michael isn’t paralyzed. If a Philly team wins a championship, surely he can accommodate such statistics, change some wording & keep the site running without having to do a drastic overhaul.

    Should one of them win a championship, the other three major franchises will still be suffering from their respective championship droughts.

    The original concept isn’t defunct you fucking window licking dipshit. A majority of it still holds true. Michael will only have to change one portion of the site’s statistics to maintain a high degree of relevancy.

    If you are that person and are reading this – anyone can find my information by querying the whois database. I have also been profiled on tv, newspaper and radio. People know who I am. I could easily switch by whois information and be anonymous.
