Yo, I’m from Philly and think this site it OK, I find it pretty funny you put a lot of work into it. But dude get a freakin life!!!!! You so need to get out of the house!!!! Move out of your mothers basement meet a girl or guy for that matter if you go that way.

Yes we haven’t won in a hell of a loooooooooooooooooong time but you see we still support.

OH and how about growing a pair and put your name and picture on the site. I’m sure there are a lot of people in this area that would love to keep your face in mind just in case they come by you. Unlike me because I can care less you the hell you are.

    Well, maybe if I explained it in more detail you would understand why I don’t share my affiliations.

    For starters, I only keep my affiliations quiet on this site. In real life, there’s no confusion who I’m a fan of (I make it perfectly clear). It’s different when you’re face to face. People aren’t so quick to talk trash.

    In my dealings with most Philly fans online, I have found they don’t seek to have normal debates. Instead, they seek the easiest escape route from having to defend their city’s poor championship statistics.

    How?
    Mainly by talking shit about whatever team/city you follow, then fabricating stats to bolster non-existent high-points in Philly sports. They usually feel they’ve “won” the argument by how much they trash your city and/or team.

    By taking the first element out of the equation, I force them to use statistics & facts to defend their shit talking (something they’re not used to).

    But, don’t get me wrong. There are a few Philly fans I actually do respect who possess the ability to hold their own in a debate. I’m just not patient enough to filter through the truck loads of shit that comes through here.

    Hopefully, that sorts it out a bit.

    debating and you are missing out
    on it! i would take the time
    to filter out the junk to get
    to the good ones. in your system
    you cant debate anyone, cause it immediatly gets off of sports.

    yeah, but the only way to come back is to compare it against the team you, or anyone for that matter, support. Maybe some people have talked shit about your teams, then again, maybe those same people tell you facts you don’t like to hear, either.

    basically derf, you’re stating that philly has a poor track record. True, it certainly does. But, if you don’t provide a standard with which to compare philly’s suckiness, then the only thing left is to compare philly to philly.

    Its like kicking a man down who only has one leg and then laughing about it when he can’t get up. Now, if both men have one leg, then ya got a real fight…follow?

    Well, let’s get one thing straight. I am one cynical s.o.b. And your patience far succeeds my own.

    And, you obviously choose to take the high road which is not my forte. You’ll find I am quite relentless towards Philly sports and teams.

    But, make no mistake. I thrive on debating sports and statistics. And provided it’s a good topic, the debates are usually pretty good around here.

    Who I affiliate with has only become a factor with people who weren’t worth debating in the first place. Rarely (if ever?) has it undermined and/or skewed a good debate.

    Once I get these Philly idiots to take their focus off of geography, and deal with facts and statistics, affiliation becomes transparent and there is no “upper hand” (provided they’re willing to back up claims with facts).

    And being we’re at PhillySucks.com, I’d say Philly ribbing is in order (and should be expected).
