So did 15 other teams. And in case you’re bad at math, that’s roughly 53% of the league. Finishing 4th in your division and making the playoffs 3 points ahead of 9th seed is not exactly a “shining” moment.
As for the playoffs? A team really needs to get passed the 1st and 2nd rounds in order for anyone to take them seriously.
That’s true Derf. But you can also look at the teams ahead of them. They were only 4 points from the 4th seed and actually have more points then the 3rd seeded team.
I can see the Flyers beating the Capitals but not the Penguins or Canadiens (especially if they plan on blowing 2 goal leads).
With that being said, I consider the Flyers a legit playoff team. Probably not good enough to get to the Stanley Cup Finals (or even the Eastern Conference Finals for that matter)
It’s not only in hockey. It was a load of crap when Tampa Bay got a home playoff game against the Giants last season (probably best for the Giants considering how bad they were at home)
I won’t throw up much of a fuss about it for hockey because history has shown that home ice doesn’t really mean much. The Flyers are dominating the Capitals right now (except for one period that resulted in the game one loss).
San Jose? That’s a good pick but I can never count the Red Wings out. I would say Montreal vs. Detroit in the Finals.
Hahaha, Flyers can’t even touch Montreal at all. Whoever said, you’d beat the Habs think again. Guess what, we’ve dominated you for oh 30 or so years in hockey. Maybe if you wouldn’t stuff your faces full of Ecoli Crab Fries and Cheesesteaks you might win.
My panties aren’t in a bunch moron. Thanks for the reminder though!! I’m glad, you are the most beloved sports city ever(Ughh smells the cheesesteak stench and rotting flesh that is called Philly fans).
