    Last night’s game is nothing to really brag about considering Pittsburgh got hit with 98 minutes of penalties.

    Had it been 5 on 5 for 60 minutes, I would give Philly more credit.

    Two hat tricks in a game is still pretty impressive. I would say Philly is the most improved team in the league but would not call them a Stanley Cup team.

    Derf, you seem to be big on hockey. Who is the team to beat in the NHL?

    The team to beat? I would say Detroit obviously. But, picking a Stanley Cup team isn’t going to be easy this year.

    Withholding the Wings and the Sens;
    5 points separates 2nd-11th in the East
    6 points separates 2nd-13th in the West

    God only knows who’ll make it into the playoffs with the current standings being so close.

    It will be a fun season. I am hoping for a Flyers/Rangers matchup in the playoffs. I just don’t want the Flyers to play Buffalo in the playoffs.
