McNabb Analysis

Subject: Great site.

I moved to South Jersey 45 miles outside Philly six
years ago. I have hated the entire city ever since.
Every year since I have moved here I have to hear
about how great everything they have is, in reality it
sucks. They have the bare minimum. Philly is the
asshole of America. Year in and out I hear the Eagles
are going to win the super bowl. Mcnabb is a great
QB…….in the regular season. Some reason in big
games, you know conference championships and
superbowls he sucks. So what good is he. Eagle fans
have him on the same tier as Brady and Manning. The
Eagles have 84 points in those five games with Macnabb
as the QB. That means the Eagles, to my amazement,
have amassed a total average of 16.8 points a game.
You Eagle fans were right, Mcnabb is great, he comes
up so big. I expect that from an athlete in Philly.
In all of these games Mcnabb’s Td’s to turnover ratio
is 1.4 to 1.6. That is not good, it gets worse, I did
not include his fumbles. He averaged 210.2 passing
yards a game, not a bad number. His completion
percentage is a different story. Over those five games
he completed 56.74% of his passes. In four of the five
games his rating was under 75.5. In one game, the win
vs. ATL, it was 111.1. His lowest against Carolina was
19.3. The other ratings were 73.1(STL), 58.5(TB), and
75.4(NE). So Philly fans continue to believe Macnabb
is great, the funny part is, he is only a small part
of the history of suckage in Philly. Mcnabb is nothing
compared to, oh I don’t know, let us say the 10,000th loss.

McNabb is a very good QB. Great? I don’t think so. You’d have to make a strong case just to get him in the top 5 active QBs right now. He has had some very good seasons but he has been hurt with injuries and hasn’t even been able to finish a season lately. And the title “great” isn’t handled to you without a championship unless you are Dan Marino. I really like McNabb but he is no Dan Marino.

Very good? I don’t think so. I would say average. Very good would somebody like Carson Palmer.

Average? You’re kidding right? Overall as a QB you would call McNabb’s career average or how he has been the past two seasons?

I suppose you didn’t read my e-mail Paul. Yes I called him average. For some reason I can’t call a choke artist very good. I understand that you would being that you are a Philadelphia fan and that’s what your teams do.

I didn’t know that was your email. Yes, you are right McNabb hasn’t done great in big games. The only one of those I wouldn’t place blame on McNabb on is the Carolina game. One of those interceptions came from a receiver getting leveled with the ball in his chest and the other was a receiver changing an in route which equals instant interception. But enough with my excuses though. One question if you consider McNabb average because he choked in big games then what do you consider Dan Marino? Slightly above average?

Anyway, please explain why you consider Carson Palmer very good. If I’m not mistaken by his 3rd year in the league McNabb had already led his team to 3 playoff wins and an NFC championship game. I fail to see how you can consider McNabb average and Carson Palmer very good. Maybe you just have different standards. Perhaps you considered McNabb very good early in his career but now he has dropped to average. Ok, I guess I can understand that.

Like you said Dan Marino is pretty much the only QB that can be considered greatw ith winnig virtually nothing.
To the second part of your statement, yes Mcnabb did drop in my standard from very good to average.

Paul, even a blind un-knowing homer like you can distiguish the difference between great QB’s and McChokey. I mean who holds the illustrious honor of blowing chunks on the biggest stage in sports, McChokey chunk blower. Also he lost 3 – THREE NFC championships in a row AT HOME no less. And to boot he has a 5 cent head in every “clutch” game he has been in. McChokey will continue to suck because he just doesnt have it, never has, never will. 0-2 in SB and counting…

    Killadelphia out……….

    Jr,

I’d hate to knock you down a peg, but Mcnabb lost his first NFC title in St. Louis. I wasn’t a home game. He lost two games at home after that and won one. Just saying do a little research.

First of all, people need to layoff the quarterback in Philadelphia.
We know he sucks but hey, we suck too so what the heck.

We call him “Downagain McNasty” .

His daddy Andy Reid thinks that McNasty and #36 are the saviors to his team.

Finally the truth is coming out.

Us citizens should rise up and fire BF Andy Reid, McNasty, and we should probably give back the liberty bell.

Our town is so filthy, even cheese steak sandwichs cant save us.

WE SUCK ASS,,, SINCERELY PHILLY FANS AND RESIDENTS
